The hardest thing Morgan Atkins has ever done is let go of love. After losing Messiah, she never thought she'd find someone who understood her again. Until she reunited with Ahmeek Harris and their friendship quickly transformed into something deeper, but there was one problem... she was engaged to a man she didn't love and he's holding a deadly secret over her head. If that wasn't enough, her long lost love Messiah returned to claim her as his own.
Three men plus one woman equals inevitable heartbreak. Morgan wants to follow her heart and take the risk of a lifetime, but she risks destroying her family in the process.
Will Morgan enter a loveless marriage? Or will Messiah and Ahmeek fix their brotherhood and work together to save the woman they both love?

One woman must choose between the three men in Antoinette’s angsty and emotionally charged third Butterfly novel (after Butterfly 2). Morgan Atkins found love for the first time with volatile gangster Messiah Williams, but after he disappeared, she fell into a loveless engagement with the respectable but controlling Sebastian Fredrick, while creeping around on the side with Ahmeek Harris, Messiah’s street soldier and friend who taught her a gentler kind of love. Two years later, Messiah’s back and he’s staking a claim on Morgan’s heart. Messiah’s presence turns Morgan’s life upside down and she questions the connections she’s built with the other two men—but she’s hiding a secret from Messiah that threatens to stop their romantic rekindling before it can start: she never told him about their twins, born after Messiah disappeared. Dancing between her obligations to her pending marriage with Sebastian, the love she feels for Ahmeek, and her passionate desire to be with Messiah, Morgan must make a series of difficult decisions that affect both her and her makeshift family. Antoinette masterfully weaves a gritty, streetwise tale sure to captivate readers of urban fiction.

Morgan Atkins manages to graduate from college in spite of familial and relationship turmoil in the third book in Antoinette's popular Butterfly series. Morgan and her twins are living with Bash and his wealthy and influential family, but she doesn't want to stay. When her great love, Messiah, returns to her life, Morgan sleeps with him and tells him the twins are his, risking his anger. Messiah ponders changing his life, but he can't let go of Bleu, his friend and sometime lover. Morgan can't let her lover Ahmeek go, either, and has to accept that she is in love with two men while engaged to a third. Bash decides to hurt the other men in Morgan's life in ways that will have ramifications for all family members. Antoinette mixes a raw, violent portrayal of gang life and powerful stories of family, lust, romance, and revenge as her compelling characters struggle to survive and thrive. Readers will want to start with the first in the series, Butterfly (2019), to fully appreciate this action-packed tale that also connects to Antoinette's earlier Ethic series.
