PRESS REVIEW

RAILEXPO: a few announcements, few new releases • New releases in metre and narrow gauge were few and far between in the aisles at RailExpo! This year, we mainly saw models that had been announced in the past.

The Big Thunder Mountain Model Railroad • A railway is nothing more than a fun-fair attraction! A tad over-the-top, but for Diger, this is quite true. Let's follow him around the steep gradients of his 009 mining layout.

modelers' HOUSES

Welcome to Berlandmont • Which construction materials can be 3D printed using a simple FDM printer? Pretty much all of them, provided you proceed in the proper direction…

A MOVABLE BUILDING

The bakery by the station • Olivier Audouin shows us step-by-step how to build his bakery, entirely made out of cardboard… but that's not all!

A very simple shelter • A shelter with a wood structure and an infill of coated brick, a fine exercize to become familiar with air-drying clays!

VILLAGE ARCHITECTURE with Passion! • Some pleasing new releases were on show last autumn on Christophe Constant's Architecture & Passion stand: a range of rural buildings in 1/87 scale, to create the station neighbourhood.

In your workshop A LOCOTRACTOR for a Citroën Traction! • To enhance the brand new Tamiya Citroën Traction Avant belonging to the new boss of the Cradonium company, Pascal designed a diorama in 0n30 (1/48 scale on 9mm gauge track), measuring 330 x 330mm.

The Blangy mines haulages • 1928, La Pelouse shaft: two waggoners, barely 25 years old, are pushing a train of skips to the pit-eye. They will make the trip 26 times during their day's work, and inaugurate rail haulage at Blanzy mines.

PRESERVATION AND THE BLANZY MINING MUSEUM

BLANGY MINES HAULAGE

H0-12/H0-9 A P'TITS KITS LOCOTRACTOR • The P'tits Kits range is growing with its first engine in H0. We are justly proud and tell you why!

THE PASSIFLORE EXPRESS Not so Rabbids! • You are familiar by now with Jean-Pierre, he is a kind of mad scientist, crazy about miniature railways, electronics and automated systems. What you are not aware of is that he is also a fan of graphic novels and very fond of bunnies!

Chinon Pass • Have you ever heard of the Cocitour? Are you familiar with No Grape Must East of the Rio Seco? No? We shall enlighten you: this is HO scale on 9 mm gauge track. As for the rest…

An excursion to the waterfall THE BASIC SCENERY • To create the basic scenery for the 0 narrow gauge layout, I used a few off-the-shelf products. We take a look here at the easily-obtained results.

Limone c'é Bello • A project in H0-6,5 is not that frequent. Actually, this is the first one we review in Voie Libre. As this is a fairly ambitious adventure, we will also take a look a some of the stages in the creation of the layout.

MOTORISING with BD Concepts • Motorising an Atlas tramway is easy if you use the BD Concepts driving bogies! A few scraps of plastic sheet, basic tooling, and you can hit the rails.
